Hey Bro! My name is Rob a cryptocurrency gambling professional! Wondering what I mean by professional? I’ve been working with gambling products since 2010. I started out working in the marketing department of a poker room. In 2014 I changed my position and started working with one of the largest crypto casinos at the time. The next project that I participated in as a marketing manager was a bitcoin sportsbook.

My job in the marketing department was tightly associated with the creation of various bonuses and promotions. During my time working as a marketing manager I’ve launched several new gambling bonuses and promotions for various kinds of products. I’ve got a lot of experience in the cryptocurrency casino and betting field which I’d like to share with you in this blog.

👊 You are my BRO if:

  • You love gambling, like to have fun, and want to enjoy fair gaming conditions.
  • You are new to crypto gambling and would like to dive into information that could help you understand bonuses and promotions.
  • You just want to enjoy exploring the knowledge and experiments that I’m about to share.

🚫 You are not my BRO if:

  • You are simply looking for something for free and feel like you are owed something without having to work toward it.
  • You are using gambling to solve financial trouble.
  • You are addicted to gambling.

I love to play myself and I know how things work in the industry from an insider’s perspective. I have seen the wagering statistics of a large number of various players and have looked at thousands of gambling habits during my career. I have seen people getting rich overnight and losing it all by the end of the following evening.

Firstly, always remember that gambling is nothing more than a hobby. You should never think of it as a means to earn money. Only look at it as a game that costs to play and never expect to leave with more than you entered with. Compare it to playing video games with your bros or relaxing with a good cocktail at a nightclub. It shouldn’t be done all day every day.

📢 What will I be talking about in this blog?

  • Going over the pros and cons of bonus programs of some of the most popular cryptocurrency gambling sites with a mathematic perspective.
  • Reveal programs that aren’t fair enough for the players that use them and on the flip side we’ll go over the most rewarding bonuses and promotions.
  • Performing cryptocurrency bets in various gambling experiments.

I do preach largely on gambling responsibly. I am here to enhance your experience and to point you away from bonuses and promos that are heavily against players and unfair. You’ll never beat the house. There aren’t any secret techniques or tricks to get rich with. All that being said if you are here because you have fun playing slots, live casino games, placing bets on sport, or learning about gambling in general then welcome to my blog!

🚀 Why do I prefer crypto gambling?

I feel more comfortable when gambling with cryptocurrency for several reasons:

  • The transactions to and from the casino are taking place without a third-party service. I deposit with crypto, withdraw with crypto, and don’t show my gambling activity to any banks or payment systems.
  • The speed of the transactions is much faster than any other payment method. This is not the case with every coin, as with some of the popular coins the transfers still can take up to several hours. This is especially true when the price of the whole crypto market is going up, making it more slow and expensive to send cryptocurrency.
  • The commission for depositing cryptocurrency to the casino is also usually low. Again, this can vary from coin to coin.

✔️ What cryptocurrency is best to use when gambling online?

Not every cryptocurrency is good for gambling. The most famous coins, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have serious problems when the price of crypto is going up. Price growth stimulates the market: more people are starting to buy and sell coins.

It means that a lot of transactions are happening inside the network during this time. The more transactions are pending, the more commission you need to pay to send your coins. The same story with the speed: when the network is overloaded with transactions it can take much longer to send your Bitcoin or Ethereum.

That’s why I prefer less popular crypto assets that many casinos accept as a deposit and withdrawal method, such as Litecoin, Dogecoin, or Tether. The difference in cost that you will need to pay for making the deposit may be huge. On the spikes, while sending Bitcoin might cost you up to 10 dollars, the Litecoin or Dogecoin transactions will cost you several cents.

🎲 What games do I love to play?

I find classic casino table games, such as roulette, blackjack, or baccarat a bit boring. The same applies to different provably fair games, such as Dice, Crash, Plinko, Minesweeper, Hi Lo, or Lotteries. If we are talking about live games, then sometimes I like to participate in game shows like Crazy time from Evolution. I also don’t mind launching a poker site to spend an evening competing in a tournament. But nothing will compare to nice old slots, which bring a lot of adrenaline and great graphics to the table.

I do love non-standard game mechanics and complex bonus features. The more important thing in choosing a slot to play is RTP. As I already stated before, the casino is all about math and luck. While I cannot control the luck, understanding math can become a significant advantage.

RTP (Return to Player) is a percentage of bets that any particular slot returns to you back on the distance in form of winnings. Some of the casinos do not show this number and this can be a dangerous sign. The same slot in different casinos may have a different RTP number, and I prefer to choose slots where the RTP is visible and high.

The RTP number can vary from 90% to 98% with an average of around 96%. If you are not familiar with RTP here is a simple example:

If you bet 100 dollars in slots with RTP 90%, then on the distance you will get 90 dollars back as your winnings. When RTP is 96%, then you will get 96 dollars back. Looks like this is not a big deal? But when you place bets worth thousands of dollars daily, then these numbers are essential.

Remember, that RTP is just a statistical assumption. You can still win a lot more from a single spin or lose everything in a moment. The distance here is important and it will become even more important when we start the discussion about casino bonuses and promotions.

👍 What bonuses do I usually take?

During the entirety of my professional gambling career, I was always involved in the creation of bonus and loyalty programs. The only purpose of any regular first deposit bonus is to grab your attention and push you to deposit. 99% of the time any welcome bonuses being offered are impossible to wager back and withdraw.

Wagering requirements attached to the bonus – is something that I always check before claiming any bonus. The perfect situation and ideal bonus is one that has no wagering requirements attached to the bonus amount, free spin winnings, or any other reward given.

A good and simple example is always better than one that takes the form of a thousand words. Let’s have a look at some normal first deposit offers and make calculations to understand if it is good or bad.

100% first deposit bonus up to 100 dollars with a wagering requirement x40. This is something that you will find on any regular online casino. Now I will simulate the player’s behavior who decided to take this offer. The player makes a 100 USD deposit and gets 200 dollars on his account. (100 real money and 100 bonus money). He needs to wager 100 x 40 = 4,000 USD to withdraw the bonus money.

Now, this is the moment when RTP comes to play. When the player will wager 4,000 USD on the 96% RTP slot he will win back 4000*0.96 = 3,840 dollars. Or it is better to say, he will lose 160 dollars. He started the wagering with 200 dollars and by the end of the bonus clearing, he will lose 160 dollars. His 100 USD deposit now turned into 40 USD. Is it worth taking this bonus? I bet you know the answer.

I look at this process from the math perspective. It can happen that the player will hit x1000 multiplier right on the first spin and he will have enough money to wager all the bonus back, but in theory, this is how the bonuses work. I will make a lot of different bonus analyses in this blog, taking some real examples of existing casino offerings.

🔥 What gambling promotions do I take part in?

The story with promotions is pretty much the same as with bonuses. No wagering promotions are the best ones. They are fair, easy to understand, and have no hidden rules. Unfortunately, it is not that easy to find a crypto gambling site that is willing to provide this kind of promotion.

I am not blaming the casinos, although sometimes they get too greedy. It is always your choice to take part in something or not. Casinos are always aiming to make a profit and this is why all the promotions they create have one simple goal – stimulate players to bet more.

When I decide if the promo is good or not worth participating in, I usually check the wagering requirements for the prize, the amount of bets needed to receive that prize, and any other hidden in T&C rules preventing me from withdrawing the money. And believe me, those Terms and Conditions always contain something that will make your life harder.

There are multiple kinds of promotions available on cryptocurrency gambling websites, including free spins, races, cashback, free bets, and many others. In this blog, I will explore the promotions of the most popular crypto casinos and sportsbooks, both good ones and bad ones. I will show you all the aspects you need to take into account when choosing a promo to take part in.

🤔 My thoughts about KYC

KYC refers to the Know Your Customer procedure. It is when gambling websites ask you for documentation for verification. Usually, they ask for ID and Residence verification, but sometimes the Payment method verification may be required as well.

When the KYC procedure is started, you can still play the casino games, but no withdrawals can be made. Some casinos prefer to completely lock your account during the KYC procedure.

There are three reasons why casinos ask for KYC:

  1. You have reached a cashout limit which requires KYC verification according to the license. Usually, this amount is around 2,000 USD.
  2. Your account seems suspicious to the casino fraud department. They may suspect you in bonus abusing or machinations with payment systems.
  3. Casino just wants to slow down your cashout in hopes that you will lose everything before the KYC is finished.

While the two first cases are legal and acceptable, the third one is a dirty trick and a lot of casinos are using it. They will let you play and ask for more and more pictures of your documents and you holding those documents in different positions. But the truth is, that any rational player will leave this casino website right after getting his withdrawal or losing his money.

This is another reason why I love crypto gambling, as it is pretty often easy to find a casino or sports betting site with no KYC at all. Don’t get me wrong, I respect the law and I am not against the KYC itself. I just hate when some stupid casino management is starting to use this procedure for manipulation and theft.

🛡️ Does a gambling license matter?

Cryptocurrency gambling operators love to advertise the fact, that their business is licensed and regulated. But do you think that the license will anyhow support players, once there will be any disputable case? In 99% of cases, the license will not help you at all. This is an awful truth, but you need to understand that there is not a big difference between licensed and unregulated casinos.

You see, the thing is that according to the Terms and Conditions of most of the gambling websites, your account can be closed and money can be locked any moment even without a good reason. The license won’t help you to get a withdrawal, so you don’t need to hope for this that much.

The only two reasons for crypto gambling sites to get the license are:

  1. To make the agreements with official and popular game providers, as they don’t work with unregulated websites.
  2. To receive permission for operation on local markets, such as the UK.

Casinos pay a lot of money to the licensing authorities, and while in theory, the regulator should defend the player, they are usually not that interested to ruin the profitable cooperation with the gambling operators.

💰 Do I spend a lot on gambling?

The main rule of responsible gambling is to play only with the amount that you can afford to lose. I’ve never had a lot of spare money to gamble with and try not to spend on betting more than on other types of entertainment. Although, during the pandemic, when everything is closed and you cannot visit the cinema or the restaurant, my wagering turnover significantly matured.

But the rule remains the same: I will never deposit money that was supposed to be used for another purpose. I will never deposit another 100 bucks after I reached my limit in pursuit of winning everything back. I will also withdraw my winnings and take a break when the luck was on my side and I was able to win a solid amount.

🔎 What should you look for in T&C?

I’ve referred to the importance of Terms and Conditions already several times during this introduction. T&C is the most important document and your public contract with the gambling website. I know that these documents are usually long as hell and there is absolutely no interest to read them, but if you decided to make a deposit in a particular crypto casino, then there are several important aspects you need to check.

Withdrawing limits

Almost every gambling operator is implementing withdrawing limits, which will show how much money you can withdraw per day, week, or month. This is even more important if you can afford to play on high stakes and are used to making huge withdrawals.

Deposit wagering requirements

A lot of cryptocurrency gambling websites will require you to wager the sum of your deposit several times before you can ask for any withdrawal. And this will also apply to you even if you did not take any bonuses.

KYC procedures

Check the requirements for the KYC and the list of the documents you will need to send while passing the verification.

VPN usage

Some casinos do not allow you to use VPN. Be careful, the violation of this rule may lead to the account termination with funds confiscation.

Bonus T&C

Check out the deposit amount needed to receive a bonus and wagering requirements associated with it.

There are many more things that can be hidden in the Terms and Conditions and I will note them down in my casino reviews.

👉 How do I choose a crypto gambling website to play on?

It is not that hard to pick a website that will cover all your cryptocurrency gambling needs. I will not talk much about the design or navigation, as this is not so important. You are visiting those websites to play the games and make bets, so you need to make sure that all your favorite games are there and that other important aspects are also good.

RTP

As we already discussed the RTP is very important if you are a slot player. The casino with higher RTP will not only pay back more but will also give you more margin when participating in the promotions or bonuses. Stay away from the casinos with an RTP of less than 94%.

Time in business

It is not true to say that any brand new gambling website is not good enough to give it a try. It may also happen that a new casino was released by an old and established operator. Even one year of hassle-free operation is a good sign. The first year is always the hardest one for casinos as they need to complete the team with members, polish the website and promotions. If the casino was able to survive after the first year and did not receive any serious negative reviews, then it is good to go.

Providers

The casino should have all the game providers and game titles that you usually love to play. If you have no favorites yet, then pick a website with a large variety of slots and live games. By the end of the day, you will compile a list of 20-100 games that will be suitable to play.

White label?

What kind of company or platform source is behind the website? If it is a white label of some popular gaming solution, then you may be sure that your experience will be on the level. If it is an unknown platform developed by a newbie operator, then they may still have some issues with the website itself, payments, or bonuses.

KYC

If you can find a crypto gambling website that can fulfill all your needs and has no KYC procedure, then this is a perfect combination. Otherwise, get a list of all documents needed and perform the verification right after you made a deposit. This will help you to withdraw your winning as fast as possible when the time comes.

Deposits and withdrawals

While I prefer gambling with cryptocurrency, it is important for me that the website accepts the coins I want to deposit and withdraw. Make sure to check that the payment option you are going to use is presented on the casino and has reasonable limits for depositing and withdrawing. Instant payouts is another feature that will make your gambling experience more pleasant.

👊 Wow, bro! You made it to the end of this long introduction! Welcome to my blog, hope that you will find useful insights on crypto gambling and have fun! May the best of luck be with you!
