My Honest Betchain Review (Tested With Real Deposit)

Betchain Casino is a dinosaur of the cryptocurrency gambling space as it started to operate back in 2013. This was one of the most famous brands back in time with a huge base of loyal players. It was a big surprise for me that this casino could survive until today. In this review, I will check how good this casino is nowadays and if it is really alive.

What do we see here? Another Curacao-licensed casino! While it is better to have some sort of license rather than no license at all, Curacao remains one of the less secured licensees. That’s why I always check different feedbacks and scam cases on forums when deciding how many points to give in the legal section of the review. Betchain has been online since 2013 and there were no serious issues spotted. I was not able to find any unresolved complaints. This is the reason why this section gets the maximum rating of five points.

🎲 Games and providers (3/5)

While at first glance the game selection looks fine, there are several huge problems that Betchain has to solve here.

This is not the only issue I have with Betchain’s games. Check the screenshot of one of the GameArt slots below. The minimum Bitcoin bet for this slot is 0.5 mBTC. If we convert this to USD, then we get around 30 dollars! This also makes it impossible for me to play GameArt’s games as well.

I deduct two points to this section of the review. The first point I deduct is for the game loading issues and the second point is for the incorrect slot configuration for the Bitcoin currency. It might be a difficult task to follow the prices of cryptocurrencies and modify bet limits in all the games published. This is something that the casino management should constantly do.

I have made my deposit using Bitcoin. The deposit flow is easy: you just copy the address of your BTC wallet provided by the casino, and then you send the coins there.

Like almost all casinos nowadays, Betchain also requires you to wager the deposited amount before you can request a withdrawal. Most of the websites ask you to wager it at least x1 time, but here, your deposited amount should be wagered x3 times. 

I also noticed that wagering the deposit is not a mandatory thing, according to the Terms and Conditions. The casino should offer an option to withdraw funds that have not been wagered and charge a fee.

I decided to ask the support agent about the fee that would be charged. The first thing that support did when I asked about 3x wagering, was to copy the relevant section from the T&Cs. Then I decided to make a more specific question.

The agent is persistently saying that no withdrawal fee would be deducted. After that, he also said that my payment would be declined if the wagering requirement won’t be completed.

Looks like there is no way to withdraw money by paying the processing commission, as it is stated in T&Cs.

In this section of the Betchain review, I deduct another two points. The first point goes off for the high deposit wagering requirement, which is x3. I deduct the second point for the misleading information in Terms & Conditions. It is stupid to have a rule in T&C that you don’t actually use. The Terms and Conditions are a contract between the casino and a player, so here Betchain is violating its own rules.

🚀 Welcome bonuses (1/5)

Betchain’s welcome package includes match bonuses for several first deposits plus 200 free spins.

The wagering requirement for all deposit bonuses is x50. Is it worth taking this bonus? Absolutely no.

This is what happens when you take a 50x wagering offer. Let’s imagine that you have made a 500 USD deposit, received another 500 USD on top as a bonus balance and now need to wager 500 x 50 = 25,000 USD to clear the bonus. When playing a 96% RTP slot, in the long term you will be losing 4% of each bet you make.

This is how much you will mathematically lose after completing the wagering: 25,000 x 4% = 1,000 USD

It means that you will literally have nothing left after clearing the bonus.

The same story applies to the free spin bonus: all your winnings gained from the free spins are also obligated to have a 50x wagering requirement.

This section of the Betchain review gets only 1 point. You need to be extremely lucky to complete the wagering requirements of this welcome offer. This bonus is designed to stimulate you to wager more and more. Then the math will do its job and lead your account to bankruptcy.

The first thing that I always pay attention to is the loyalty program that should reward regular players. The Betchain VIP program should reward you with special bonuses and with the possibility to exchange the CP points that you will be generating while playing real money games.

You need 100 CP to reach the first level. How much do you need to wager to achieve that? A lot! You will get 1 CP for every 50 mBTC wagered on slots.

I have asked support to check whether this information is correct. 50 mBTC is worth around 3,000 USD at the current rate, which is really a lot.

The support agent has confirmed that the information published on the website is not correct, and one CP is credited after wagering 10 mBTC.

That is five times less than before, but still a lot: 10 mBTC = 600 USD. To reach the first level you have to wager 600 x 100 = 60,000 USD. The second level will be opened after betting 300,000 USD. That is one of the hardest to achieve VIP programs that I have seen so far.

Betchain is also offering several reload bonuses, which all have the same 50x wagering requirement attached. I would not suggest using these ones.

There are also two tournaments that you can participate in. The first one is called SpinFest and it is rewarding active players with different amounts of free spins.

How sad that all of the free spins have wagering requirements attached.

The Slots Blitz tournament has some cash prizes, which sounds a bit more interesting.

What a pity, however, that these prizes have a 50x wagering requirement as well.

By the way, you will not find any information about the Slots Blitz wagering requirements on the website, which can be confusing for some players.

Unfortunately, Betchain’s promotions deserve nothing but only two points. All those wagering requirements that are attached to any prize you win will become a pain in the ass. The loyalty program is a total mess. It looks like it was created back in 2013 when the casino was established, and it has never been fixed so far.

Betchain has one of the slowest Live Support services I have ever met in my life. First of all, you will be waiting in the queue for 10-15 minutes before the agent gets connected.

Then you will be getting answers with delays from 4 to 15 minutes each. I have spent more than an hour asking all the questions presented in this review. In general, these chats take between 15 to 20 minutes to be completed.

Some of the answers were just copy-pasted. The support agents are not actually willing to delve into a question, but they just try to send something more or less relevant.

This section gets three points out of five. One point is deducted for the unbelievable slow answers and another one is taken off for the indifference that the BetChain customer service is showing sometimes.

Betchain casino is stuck in the past, with its whooping wagering requirements attached to every bonus or prize and an unreachable VIP program. The customer support is also emphasizing the antiquity of this casino, taking around 10 minutes for providing every answer. The information on the website is not updated or it’s just missing sometimes.

It looks like Betchain’s management does not really care about what is happening to its product. If they don’t care, why should we players pay attention to this abandoned casino? I suggest looking for another crypto-friendly casino, thankfully, there are lots of brands that can provide a way better service.
