My Honest Sherbet Review (Tested With A Real Deposit)

The wagering requirement for the deposited amount is 0.5x – one of the lowest in the industry.

I made my first deposit with Bitcoin and only paid $0.53 in fees on the same day. It means that the fees deducted by Sherbet on withdrawals are too overcharged.

The deposit was credited to my account in dollars. This is something that I find wrong in the way of operating a crypto casino. I would prefer to keep the balance in BTC and use an in-game conversion while playing games.

Why don’t I like this approach? Because now, all my casino winnings depend on the cryptocurrency exchange rate. During this Sherbet experiment, I was able to win around 20 dollars, but at the same time, the price of Bitcoin went up.

So, after requesting the money back to my wallet, I have received pretty much the same amount of BTC that I deposited, despite the fact that I won some money.

It is fair to mention that I would also receive more BTC in case the price of Bitcoin goes down. But I do not want to use the casino website as a trading platform. Sherbet is acting like an exchange service, which is a prerogative of dedicated exchanges.

I give this section of Sherbet’s casino review three points out of five. I deduct one point for the withdrawal fee which is much higher than what is actually needed by the blockchain network to process the transfer. There are lots of casinos that do not demand a withdrawal fee at all.

The second point is deducted for the crypto-to-USD conversion that happens when you deposit funds. I prefer to hold my assets in crypto and not lose money when the price of the underlying cryptocurrency moves.

There are three welcome bonuses on offer at Sherbet. Let’s check all of them to understand if these are worth taking or not.

Your 75 no-deposit bonus and 100% match bonus are both displayed in the Bonus section of the website.

First of all, let’s try to play 75 free spins in Sweet Bonanza by Pragmatic Play.

After playing 75 free spins I earned almost 20 USD.

But do not expect that you will get the winnings to your balance just like that. According to the Terms and Conditions of this bonus, now you have to wager the winnings 45x times. Even when you complete the wagering process, the so-called ‘no deposit bonus’ still won’t be credited, as you have to make at least a 20$ deposit in order to claim the winnings.

I don’t think that a ‘no deposit bonus’ is the right name for this promotion. There are no chances to get any value from this offer without making a deposit, so this bonus should be part of the first deposit offer.

Is it worth taking this bonus? Well, if you plan to make a deposit, then why not? While the wagering requirement of 45x is a lot, it is still doable. In my case I would have to wager 19.99×45 = 899.55 USD to complete the wagering. You also need to take into account that games with less than a 3% of house edge will give you only 25% towards the wagering process.

Let’s now have a look at the 100% match bonus. The rules here are also pretty catchy. The wagering requirement for the 100% bonus is 35x, but you will also have to wager the bonus 20x times before it will be unlocked for the ‘wagering’. In other words, the total wagering requirement for the 100% bonus is 55x.

There is another way to activate the bonus: to lose your entire deposit, which is not the most user-friendly scenario if you want to make use of your bonus.

If you make a 100 USD deposit, receive 100 USD as a bonus and play slots with a 96% RTP, then mathematically you will be losing 4% of all your bets. You will have to wager 100 x 55 = 5500 USD and lose 5500 x 4% = 220 USD, which is even more than the amount of your initial deposit + bonus. Is it worth taking this bonus? Apparently, no.

I decided not to activate this welcome offer, so the support advised me to leave it on the balance and not claim it.

I usually give one point for the bonuses which have high wagering requirements attached and I give one extra point here for the rakeback boost, which does not have any wagering requirements, but the rewards there are too low for getting more points of rating.

The Sherbet loyalty program consists of several levels, which offer you higher rakeback and match deposit bonuses on level-ups.

The maximum rate on rakeback is 15%, which you get after wagering 1 billion dollars. It looks like this level is hardly achievable even for a highroller.

Another promotion available on Sherbet is “Quests”. There are several tasks in different games related to hitting certain multipliers that will reward you with monetary prizes.

The next promo to check is the daily and weekly raffles. There is only one winner per each of the raffles. The prize pool for the daily raffle is $50.

The prize pool for the weekly raffle is $250.

The more you play, the more chances you get to win the prize. Every $1 wagered in a single bet gives you one ticket for both raffles.

I decided to finish my Sherbet testing after wagering 690 USD.

I have claimed my 6% rakeback of $0.74 in addition to the 26% rakeback boost ($3.23) that I have already claimed before. There are no other prizes that I was able to win during this experiment.

I give this section of Sherbet’s review three points out of five. I like the overall concept of the promotions, but the prizes you might get are small. There is a miserable chance that you will ever win in any of the raffles or hit the desired multiplier in quests. The rate of rakeback is also not the most rewarding one, and you will have to wager millions of dollars to reach a higher rakeback.
