My Honest Rocketpot Review (Tested With a Real Deposit)

Today I am going to review Rocketpot – one of the newcomers to the crypto gambling market. This casino has received very good feedback from the community, so I decided to check if Rocketpot is a nice place to play with crypto.

To create this review, I have made a 5 mBTC deposit, played a while, reached the first level in the loyalty program, and successfully received my cashout. I was also able to have a chat with three different live chat agents, so we can judge the competence of the customer support service as well.

✔️ Is Rocketpot legit? (5/5)

As it happens with many other cryptocurrency casinos, Rocketpot is licensed by the Curacao authority. This is the easiest license to get, that’s why lots of crypto gambling websites decide to start the business using the Curacao license.

While Curacao is the most popular license, it is, at the same time, one of the less caring jurisdictions. That’s why it is essential to check the feedback given by real players and look for unsolved issues before playing at Curacao-licensed casinos.

Rocketpot was established in 2019 and it has been operating in the gambling market for several years. During this time, there were no registered records regarding fraudulent or inappropriate activity of this casino.

I give this section of the review a maximum of five points out of five, as all signs show that Rocketpot is a legit cryptocurrency casino.

🎲 Games and providers (3/5)

The first thing I noticed is related to a search bar issue. It really makes the process of finding a game a pain in the ass. The website does not give you any hints while you enter the name of the game in the field. You need to enter the full game name or a part of it. Then you have to hit the Enter button. Only then you will see the search outcome.

I always use the search option when playing casino games, and those extra clicks are really irritating. There are thousands of games published by different game providers, so it is impossible to remember the exact name of each slot.

There are more than 40 different game providers present on Rocketpot and the collection of games is huge.

The biggest problem though is the gaming lobby navigation. For example, when you enter the Live Casino lobby, there is no way to filter by game providers. I can definitely see that live games are presented by Evolution, but I am not sure if there are any other providers available.

You can use a global filter to see the games of a specific provider, but this, again, requires lots of additional clicks.

I have also experienced some errors during my gambling journey. These errors appeared with different game providers. The games got stuck and I had to reload the page to continue playing.

I give this section of the Rocketpot review three points. The selection of the games is good, but it is a real challenge to use the game lobby and the search panel on a daily basis. The casino should definitely think of eliminating these annoying factors.

🎰 Slots RTP (5/5)

The information regarding the Return to Player rate is visible for every game published at Rocketpot.

You can use the RTP rate while searching for the games with the biggest winning potential. The higher the RTP, the larger the chances of winning while playing that slot.

Remember that each slot can have a different RTP value in different casino platforms. Most game providers allow the casinos to choose the RTP value when publishing the game. It can be a dangerous sign if the casino does not show any RTP information. It may happen that those casinos are publishing games with lower RTP rates.

This section of the review gets the maximum points available.

💰 Payment methods (2/5)

You can use seven different crypto assets to play at Rocketpot: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Neo, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Tether.

In their terms and conditions, I have found that only Bitcoin is accepted, so I decided to double-check with the support agent:

The support agent said that the website is not yet updated. That is a weird situation if the Terms and conditions are not updated for some reason. Are there any other important rules that might ‘not also be updated’? I don’t know, but this is an unpleasant situation not to have updated T&C.

The support has also shared the minimum deposit amounts that are accepted for deposits:

It was a perfect moment to know what the minimum amounts for withdrawals are:

As you can see, the minimum amounts for withdrawals are pretty much the same as for deposits, except for Bitcoin. The minimum cashout amount in BTC is 10 times larger than the minimum deposit. If we convert 0.002 BTC in USD, then we get around 90 USD as the minimum withdrawal amount, which is a lot.

There is another restriction that makes the life of a Rocketpot gambler harder. You will have to wager your deposited amount at least x3 times before requesting a withdrawal.

The next thing I decided to check was the withdrawal fees. For Bitcoin, the casino would deduct 0.00006 BTC to send the transaction. This fee is higher than the actual network fee at the moment of the transaction: I was able to make a deposit the same day paying four times less in fees.

When I started checking all other crypto assets, then the fee was always the same, 0.00006 for whatever currency I checked.

It is weird and it shouldn’t work in this way, so I decided to ask the support:

This is a big question to the payment provider that is processing the payments for Rocketpot, as it looks like the system is configured in a wrong and unreasonable way. Different coins have different prices and requirements in terms of fees, so I find these settings senseless.

To test out the Rocketpot website, I have made my first deposit with Bitcoin:

Once the transaction was confirmed by the network, I could see it in the payments’ history of the casino:

For the Payments section, I give two points out of five. I deduct one point for the minimum withdrawal amount in Bitcoin, which is huge. I deduct another point for the x3 wagering requirement (most of the casinos request only x1 wagering for the deposit). And the last point is deducted for the withdrawal fee structure, which I find configured in the wrong way.

🚀 Welcome bonuses (0/5)

After making your first deposit with at least 0.001 BTC, you can activate a 100% reward welcome offer of up to 1 BTC. The wagering requirement for this bonus is 100x.

In the T&C it is mentioned that the bonus can only be claimed after a BTC deposit. Here we probably face an issue (again) with the non-updated Terms and Conditions.

The bonus is not credited automatically, you need to manually activate it after the balance is updated. But is it actually worth activating it? I will soon make the calculations.

It is also not possible to cancel the bonus once it is activated.

The only way to cancel it is to request a withdrawal. In this way, the bonus will be removed together with all the winnings gained.

Now let’s do the math. A 100x wagering is huge. I can already say, for sure, that this is an unbeatable requirement. How bad is that? Let’s find out.

To make the calculations I will take 200 USD as a deposit amount, and let’s presume that I will be playing a 96% RTP slot during the bonus clearing process. It means that I will be losing 4% on each bet in the long run.

  • I will need to wager: 200 x 100 = 20,000 USD
  • I will lose, in the long run: 20,000 x 4% = 800 USD

With an initial deposit of 200 USD, mathematically, you will lose 800 USD after clearing this type of bonus.

To be honest, the x100 wagering requirement is extremely large. Rocketpot is the first casino I see with this unreal condition. You should definitely skip the welcome bonus offer if you decide to play here. This section of the review gets zero points.

📢 Promotions (3/5)

I was only able to find just one promotion available for Rocketpot players. This was also confirmed by customer support.

The goal of this promotion is to play games with real money, gain points, level up, and open the chest on each new level.

This is the progress bar you need to fill with points in order to move to another level.

Now there are two essential things that I need to know to estimate if this promo is rewarding or not:

  • How much in bets do I need to make to receive one point
  • How many points do I need to collect so as to level up

You will not find any information regarding that anywhere on the website, so I decided to ask the support agent.

After a while, the support agent came back to me with the information that I have to collect 100 points to reach the first level.

I still don’t know the formula for getting points and it looks like customer support has zero information on this matter.

So, the only way to find out is to start playing and calculating everything on my own.

I was playing slot games with an RTP of around 96%. This is the progress bar status after placing 10 USD in bets.

This is the progress after placing 100 USD in bets.

After making around 550 USD in bets I have reached the first level.

Now I can open the chest, which has an average value of 0.1 mBTC

The chest opening process is built on the unboxing model: there are different rotating prizes, and the algorithm will randomly pick one for you. My prize was 0.07 mBTC.

If we convert the prize to USD, then I was awarded 3.3 USD.

Now we can make the calculations to know if the prize is worth it.

  • Amount wagered: 550 USD
  • Prize: 3.3 USD
  • House edge: 550 x 4% = 22 USD

How much do we get back compared to the amount wagered?

3.3 / 550 x 100% = 0.6%

If we calculate the rakeback based on the house edge we get:

3.3 / 22 x 100% = 15%

I like the fact that the Rocketpot loyalty program is rewarding you based on all the bets you make, not only the losing bets.

Is the reward good? Well, Duelbits is paying around 37% of the house edge back, so 15% looks not that generous.

This section of the Rocketpot review gets three points from me. There is only one promo available, but it does not stimulate you to lose money, which is good. The rakeback percent is not the highest on the crypto gambling market, but it is also not the worst. It is somewhere in the middle.

🔎 KYC and anonymity (3/5)

Here is a list of restricted countries, whose residents cannot open an account at Rocketpot:

The Terms and Conditions state that there is a KYC procedure in place and that your account will be temporarily closed during the verification.

Most likely, the verification will be requested when the total withdrawal amount reaches 2,000 USD.

You probably won’t be asked for KYC right after the first withdrawal, if your cashout does not exceed 0.05 BTC or 2,500 USD.

Basically, the same thing was confirmed by support:

This section of the review gets three points. If you are going to play here a lot, then most likely the KYC procedure will become mandatory sooner or later.

👨‍💻 Customer support (4/5)

I had several chats with the Rocketpot Live support and I must admit that there was always someone online to answer me. My chats were hosted by three different support agents, and it looks like some of them were trained better than others.

The overall impression is positive, so here I deduct only one point for the indistinct answers regarding the loyalty program.

⚡ Speed of withdrawals (2/5)

After playing for a while, I have requested my withdrawal back to my Bitcoin wallet:

The withdrawal received the “not processed” status and I started to wait until it would be processed. The main thing to mention is that withdrawals are not instant here.

After several hours of waiting, I decided to double-check with the support if there was anything wrong with my request:

I have provided the details related to my account.

What happened next? The withdrawal was released right after I had a chat with the support team.

Once the transaction was confirmed by the Bitcoin network, the cashout amount became visible in my wallet as well.

I am not sure how long it would have taken to release the payment if I had not asked about it from the support agent. It took four hours and one conversation with the support to receive this withdrawal.

I am not sure, what was the actual reason for not cashing out fast. It should take a couple of minutes to check a withdrawal request like mine: I did not take any bonuses and did not win any amount of money.

This section of the Rocketpot review gets only two points out of five. Four hours is a lot for a crypto casino, as there are lots of competitors with instant withdrawal processing. I am also not sure how long it would have taken if I had not sent the message to the live support, maybe even up to 24 hours, as support stated.

🌐 Is VPN allowed? (5/5)

Here, Rocketpot gets the maximum points available. The support has confirmed that their website is VPN friendly, and I also was not able to find any restrictions in T&C.

🏁 Final verdict (3.2/5)

Rocketpot is an average cryptocurrency casino, without any special features, but at the same time, it also does not have any significant problems. Their welcome bonus is total garbage, but the loyalty program is designed in the right way. You will not get your withdrawals instantly, but you will also not overpay the withdrawal fee that much.

The selection of games is large, but sometimes the games are stuck, so you have to reload them. I have a mixed opinion about Rocketpot and I would definitively advise checking some other crypto casinos if you are looking for a place for regular gambling.

I love my casino games and rocketpot has proven to me to be a decent online gambling platform for my entertainment.

Upon signing up, rocketpot offered me a 100 percent welcome bonus. I must add that the welcome bonus requires a 100X turnover before you can withdraw it.

I would advise against taking the welcome bonus because the turnover requirement is too high and not practicable.

I tried doing the turnover and fell way short of the set target and lost both my deposit and the bonus in the process.

Rocketpot does, however, have other promotions every now and then for existing players. These promotions come with less stringent conditions so I am always on the lookout for them.

I have enjoyed playing here so far because of the different games and slots they have on offer. The platform really does have thousands of games with almost all of my favorite games included.

Overall, my general experience with rocketpot has been okay, even if there are other casinos with better conditions for the welcome and no deposit bonuses. Most importantly, they will pay you if you win.
